Dearest bearer of my existence,
Today is the 39th anniversary of your birth. You will not receive the satisfaction of me acknowledging you. for the first time in the last 7 years i am not waking up in the middle of the night terrified that you will find me. i do not have panic attacks over our past. now my heart flutters instead of screams. i have finally learned to trust people and i have learned that i can love without hurting the ones i love. i know now that i am a great person. i am strong when i need to be and gentle when i need to be. i am stepping in the right direction. everyday i surround myself with people that care about me and i know i can trust.
